FOMO – Fear of Missing Out
My piece addresses the issue of FOMO – the Fear of Missing Out. It is a syndrome that occurs most often in social media users who are in a permanent state of alert and a sense of missing something, what results in a sense of personal failure. In this case, the phone, as a source of anxiety and tension, goes to rest – by representing nature, it builds an artificial horizon in the virtual and electronic world. The installation is ephemeral, it is built of old, unused phones, which in the eyes of their owners have become unnecessary electro-waste.
